AI Halter Secures New Funding Talks, Valuation Could Double to Over $2 Billion

Gate News reports that on March 21, sources revealed that the startup Halter, which develops AI-powered cow collars, is in talks for a new funding round that is expected to double its valuation to over $2 billion. Billionaire Peter Thiel's venture capital firm Founders Fund will lead the round. Halter's technology aims to create "virtual fences" for herds, with solar-powered smart collars that connect to farmers' phones, allowing remote herding or guiding of cattle through vibration and sound signals, while providing real-time monitoring of livestock's location and health metrics. Sources said that before the new funding, Halter's valuation had already reached approximately $2 billion. Due to strong investor interest, the round has experienced "oversubscription," and the exact amount has not yet been determined.
