Gate News reports that on March 6, Emirates Airlines announced that as the world's largest international airline seeks to resume operations after a week-long suspension caused by airspace closures due to the Middle East conflict, full flight operations are expected to resume in the coming days. In a statement on Friday, Emirates said that the resumption of commercial flights depends on the reopening of airspace and the fulfillment of all operational requirements. The airline stated that on Thursday (March 5), approximately 30,000 passengers were transported out of Dubai. By March 7, Emirates will operate 106 daily round-trip flights to 83 destinations, covering nearly 60% of its route network. Due to retaliatory attacks by Iran that forced the United Arab Emirates to close its airspace and caused minor structural damage to Dubai International Airport, the airline's flagship hub in Dubai had to cancel thousands of flights.
