He also noted that xAI’s image-generation tool, Grok Imagine, has achieved positive gross margin and is not a loss-making project. The context for this statement is that OpenAI recently shut down its video platform, Sora. Public reports show that since Sora launched, it has generated about $2.1 million in revenue, with an average daily operating loss of about $1 million. Musk did not disclose Grok Imagine’s specific revenue figures, but he previously said he would continue to increase investment, believing it has important strategic value.
