Mars Finance information, today (15th), learned from China National Nuclear Corporation that Chinese scientists have made a key breakthrough in the field of stable isotope enrichment, successfully achieving autonomous mass production of silicon-28 isotopes with an abundance exceeding 99.99% for the first time, with key product indicators reaching internationally advanced levels. This marks a substantial step forward for China in building an independent, controllable, and efficiently coordinated stable isotope industry pattern. According to reports, besides quantum computing, ultra-high abundance silicon-28 also has important application prospects in advanced process semiconductors, high-end navigation, and measurement standards. The team from the Institute of Nuclear Industrial Physics and Chemistry Engineering of China National Nuclear Corporation, which completed this breakthrough, has previously achieved the production of 12 elements including molybdenum, tellurium, nickel, and 26 stable isotopes, continuously promoting the engineering and industrialization of stable isotope separation technology.
