On May 28, Anthropic announced a 65 billion US dollar Series H funding round, reaching a post money valuation of 965 billion US dollars, surpassing OpenAI's 852 billion US dollars to become the world's most valuable AI startup. The round was co-led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital, with Amazon adding 5 billion US dollars, and Micron, Samsung, and SK Hynix participating for the first time. The company is now one step away from a trillion dollar valuation.
