As we enter the 2025 New Year cycle, financial markets around the world are adjusting their trading schedules. Starting from December 30, the operation rhythm of major global exchanges is also changing.

The New Zealand and Australian exchanges took the lead by closing early on December 31. Following that, the German and Italian exchanges completely suspended trading from December 31 to January 1. Domestically, the Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges and the Beijing Exchange will be closed from January 1 to 2. Although the Hong Kong Stock Exchange will open as usual on January 2, North and Southbound trading will be closed simultaneously. For traders interested in the US stock market, the US stock market will be closed for one day on January 1 and will resume normal trading from January 2.

If you have trading plans during this period, remember to check the specific arrangements of each exchange in advance to avoid mismatches in operation times.

It's hard to position yourself for the year-end market, as global exchanges are all on holiday. Oh my, holiday closing times vary across regions, easy to get caught off guard. Is the Hong Kong Stock Exchange north-south trading also closed? Then let's wait until the 2nd. It's a bit annoying that the US stock market is closed on the 1st; I was planning to buy the dip for the New Year. Another year of "holiday chaos," remember this schedule or you'll suffer heavy losses.

It's that time of year again for the year-end market closure chaos. Every time, I have to go through the schedule again. --- Is the Hong Kong Stock Exchange north-south trading also closing? That makes it even more complicated. --- The US stock market is closed for one day, but our A-shares are closed for two. Why is that? --- This happens every year, I really have a bad memory. --- The key is that Europe hasn't opened yet, only the US stock market is open. The time difference in between is really awkward. --- Mark it in advance, or someone will definitely be confused on December 31st. --- New Zealand and Australia are the first to withdraw. This is a chain reaction.

yo hold up, so basically there's like a 48hr window where you can't arb asia-us crosses properly? that's actually brutal for cross-chain liquidity strategies ngl. the slippage gonna be wild when everything opens back up lol
