Elon Musk announces plans to build a chip manufacturing center in the United States, aiming for mass production of 2-nanometer process chips.

Elon Musk announced on the 21st local time that he will build a chip manufacturing center in Austin, Texas. This project will be carried out in collaboration with Tesla, SpaceX, and xAI, primarily providing chips for robotics and space data centers. Musk stated that the new chip manufacturing center will integrate the entire chip production process, including design, lithography, packaging, and testing, with the current goal of mass-producing 2-nanometer process chips. The manufacturing center will have two wafer fabs: one for producing chips needed for cars and robots, and the other for chips used in space data centers. (CCTV Finance)
