Trina Solar plans to make an external investment to establish a joint venture company

Beijing Business Daily (Reporter Ma Huanhuan, Li Jiaxue) On the evening of March 25, Trina Solar (688599) announced that its subsidiary, Trina Technology, plans to jointly establish a joint venture with Xingyuan Enterprise Management and Xingyao Enterprise Management, with a registered capital of no more than 100 million yuan. The proposed name of the joint venture is Shanghai Tianxing Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (tentative name; the final name will be subject to approval and registration by the market supervision authority).

The announcement shows that Xingyuan Enterprise Management is controlled by Gao Jifan, the actual controller of Trina Solar; Xingyao Enterprise Management is a employee shareholding platform for the proposed joint venture, with employees serving as executive partners. The platform is still in the process of establishment; the company name is tentative, and the final name will be subject to approval and registration by the market supervision authority. Trina Technology plans to invest no more than 45 million yuan from its own funds, accounting for 45% of the registered capital of the joint venture. This transaction involves joint investment with related parties and constitutes a related-party transaction.

Trina Solar stated that this investment aims to leverage the company’s technological advantages in photovoltaic and energy storage system solutions, and to expand cross-sector applications in related new scenarios.
