Regulatory investigation into broker-dealer data cross-border flow compliance Focus on three core pain points
The China Securities Association is currently conducting a survey of securities firms to assess the current status of data classification, grading, and cross-border flow compliance, aiming to effectively address common issues in the securities industry. The survey covers 50 items, including important data identification, cross-border flow barriers, and policy implementation challenges. Industry experts believe that this survey focuses on three major pain points in data compliance within the securities sector: First, clarifying ambiguities in policy interpretation and limited applicable scenarios; second, addressing data flow needs under group management, including cross-border transmission obstacles related to information disclosure for overseas-listed institutions and vertical integrated risk management (as per consolidated management guidelines); third, practical difficulties such as departmental coordination mechanisms for data classification and grading, unclear boundaries for core data identification, and compliance process challenges for cross-border personal information and business data.
