Adam Tuz: Only by building an army can the European defense issues be resolved

Abstract generation in progress

We are conducting an experiment. European defense spending is increasing, but not every country’s spending is growing at the same rate.

Germany and Poland are vigorously rearming, with both absolute military expenditures and their share of GDP on the rise. France, Italy, and Spain are either unaware of the urgency or cannot afford it. The result is a new imbalance.

According to current trends, by 2029, Germany’s military spending will be roughly twice that of France. “Variable geometry” is the trendy slogan of the moment. But is this a divergence that Europe can accept?

It is recommended to access the Caixin database, where you can consult macroeconomic data, stocks and bonds, corporate figures, and financial data at any time.
