2026 Beijing Yizhuang Half Marathon Gains Major Support: JD.com Becomes the "AI Technology Strategic Partner" of the Event

The globally anticipated 2026 Beijing Yizhuang Half Marathon and Humanoid Robot Half Marathon has reached another important milestone in event preparation. The organizing committee announced today that the event’s execution unit, Shang Yicheng (Beijing) Technology and Culture Group Co., Ltd., has officially reached a partnership with Beijing Jingdong Century Trade Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “JD”). JD has been granted the title of “AI Technology Strategic Partner” for this event and will leverage its resource advantages in intelligent technology and service systems to provide comprehensive support for this groundbreaking “Human-Robot Running” event. Both parties will join forces to create a global benchmark for “Robots + Sports,” empowering the upgrade of sports events through technological innovation.

The 2026 Beijing Yizhuang Half Marathon and Humanoid Robot Half Marathon will officially kick off on April 19, adopting an innovative “Human-Robot Running” model, where 12,000 human runners will compete alongside humanoid robots on the same track, creating a new scene that combines competitiveness with a sense of technology. The starting point is set at the lakeside of Tongming Lake in Yizhuang, Beijing, and the finish line will be at Nanhaizi Park. The course will connect major urban roads, international car racing segments, and park ecological scenes, achieving seamless integration between hardcore tech districts and natural ecological spaces, providing a unique competition experience for human runners while offering intelligent robots an open and complex real-world testing environment to verify adaptability and decision-making capabilities, accumulating valuable data for technological iteration.

According to the agreement, JD will rely on its experience in intelligent logistics, robotics technology, and after-sales service to become the “AI Technology Strategic Partner” for this event. JD Services will serve as the “Exclusive Official After-Sales Service Partner” for the Robot Half Marathon, while JD Sports will be designated as the “Official Registration Partner for the Human Half Marathon.” Thus, the event has established a multi-tiered partnership system, including a chief strategic partner, with all parties collaborating to provide solid support for the event.

In light of the unique “Human-Robot Running” model of this event, JD will work with other partners to build a professional, full-cycle service guarantee system. Multiple exclusive battery exchange stations for robots will be set up on-site, equipped with professional maintenance engineers and technical teams, as well as specialized rescue equipment and “robot ambulances,” providing all participating robot competitors with a one-stop closed-loop service that includes transportation, rescue, maintenance, battery swapping, energy replenishment, and accommodation. As the exclusive official after-sales service partner, JD Services will leverage its nationwide repair center network, on-site service capabilities covering key cities, and hundreds of professionally trained robot maintenance engineers to provide robust technical support for participating robots.
