BMW recalls some imported vehicles
Recently, BMW (China) Automotive Trading Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation in accordance with the “Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automotive Products” and the “Implementation Measures for the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automotive Products.”
Recall number S2026M0027V: Starting March 16, 2026, a total of 147,800 imported BMW 2 Series, 4 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, 7 Series, X4, X5, X6, and Z4 vehicles produced between July 31, 2020, and December 22, 2022, will be recalled.
Some vehicles within this recall range may experience abnormal wear of the starter due to production reasons, leading to difficulty in starting the vehicle after multiple attempts.
In extreme cases, this may cause internal short circuits in the starter, localized overheating, and a risk of fire. (State Administration for Market Regulation)
