New evidence of star formation in the Milky Way discovered in our country

Recently, an epic cosmic collision was captured by humans at the edge of our galaxy, 45,000 light-years away. Astronomers not only witnessed the extreme destruction and compression here but also discovered a pair of newly born “baby star clusters.” Researchers from the Astronomy Department of Xihua Normal University named this pair of cosmic twins “Emei.” This discovery was published on March 11 in the international academic journal “Nature Astronomy.” (CCTV News)
