Just scrolled through this breakdown of three semiconductor penny stocks that apparently caught some analyst attention. So basically these are smaller chip companies working on stuff like solar inverters, optical modules for data centers, and automotive semiconductors. The article's from 2024 but still worth looking at I guess.

Ideal Power is doing power converter solutions, barely any revenue at the time ($78k in Q1 24) but had decent cash runway. Poet Technologies is working on optical chips for AI servers which seems relevant given the whole AI boom. And then Valens Semiconductor was dealing with audio-video and automotive tech, though they saw revenue drop year-over-year.

All three had analyst 'Strong Buy' ratings at the time with decent upside targets. The thing with penny stock semiconductor plays though is they're super speculative - these are mostly pre-revenue or early-stage companies. Could go either way honestly. The whole semiconductor sector has been wild the past few years, but picking individual penny stocks in this space is definitely a high-risk game. Curious if anyone's actually been following any of these or if they've moved at all since then.
