U.S. media reports that more than a thousand U.S. troops have been withdrawn from Bahrain

ME News, April 5 (UTC+8). On April 3, National Public Radio in the United States reported, citing a spokesperson from the U.S. Navy, that since the conflict between the U.S. and Iran began, 1,500 U.S. military servicemembers and their families stationed at a U.S. military base in Bahrain have been “repatriated back to the United States.” The report also said that personnel were evacuated from other U.S. military bases in the Middle East, but the specific figures are not clear at present.
