GE HealthCare is taking a leading industrial role in the new COMPASS consortium, a five-year, €50.5 million EU-funded initiative aimed at advancing cardio-oncology care across Europe. The consortium, one of the largest public-private partnerships under the Innovative Health Initiative (IHI), will focus on the early detection and prediction of cardiotoxicity in cancer patients and survivors. It will leverage AI, advanced imaging, biomarkers, and integrated care pathways to improve patient outcomes and address the rising incidence of cardiovascular diseases in cancer patients.
