OpenMind partners with Robostore to launch the first comprehensive humanoid robot education course
Deep Tide TechFlow News, November 10th, robot software company OpenMind, in partnership with Yushu, the largest distributor in the United States, announced today the launch of the world’s first comprehensive humanoid robot education course.
With the widespread application of the Unitree G1 in campuses and laboratories, institutions need to go beyond literature and simulation-based standardized academic pathways. This new course is designed to meet that need: it employs a modular, video-based system covering areas such as movement, perception, coordination, and interaction, based on OpenMind’s OM1 operating system, enabling learners to program, test, and deploy humanoid robots in physical environments.
“The development speed of humanoid robots has surpassed the supporting educational infrastructure,” said Jan Liphardt, CEO of OpenMind and a professor at Stanford University. “We built this course to allow every laboratory and student to experiment with embodied intelligence using real hardware, not just writing code in simulators.”
Teddy Hagerty, CEO of Robostore, added, “This collaboration brings together world-class hardware and a comprehensive educational foundation. With OM1 and the Unitree G1, higher education institutions will usher in a new paradigm of embodied intelligence learning.”
Robostore has supported over 100 top institutions, including Harvard University, MIT, and Stanford University, indicating a growing demand from technical schools and research organizations. The course will be available this month through Robostore and its partner academic institutions and research laboratories.
