Samsung Electronics, Dunamu Deny Formal OUSD Negotiations; Say Names Listed Without Consent

According to Chosun Ilbo, Samsung Electronics, Dunamu (Upbit's parent company), Shinhan Financial and K Bank denied on July 3 having held formal negotiations regarding Open USD (OUSD). A Samsung Electronics representative stated the company had not engaged in formal discussions and was unaware of its potential role in the alliance. Dunamu, Shinhan Financial and K Bank said Open Standard merely inquired about their interest in participating; they responded with non-committal discussions but found their names listed as alliance members without explicit consent. Open Standard's OUSD stablecoin initiative features zero-fee minting and trading, revenue-sharing among partners, and community governance.
