Previously, Trump threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz— a vital global oil shipping route— within 48 hours and warned of destroying Iran's power plants. Yellen defended Trump's remarks, saying they are "the only language Iranians understand." She also discussed Iran's key oil hub, Kharg Island, asserting that "all options are under consideration," including deploying U.S. troops to control the island.
