Vitalik recommends re-evaluating the architecture of the separation between the Ethereum Beacon Chain and execution clients

Gate News: On March 15, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik posted on X, suggesting to keep an open attitude toward the current separation of the Ethereum beacon chain and execution clients. He pointed out that running two daemons and enabling communication between them is significantly more complex than running a single daemon. Vitalik stated that Ethereum's goal is to allow users to use the network in a self-custodied way while providing a good user experience, which in many cases means running their own nodes. However, the current way of running nodes adds unnecessary complexity. He recommended that in the short term, a more standardized foundational packaging solution could enable users to install Docker images of different clients for easier communication; in the long term, as the LeanEthereum consensus scheme matures, a re-evaluation of the overall architecture should also be considered.
