PANews March 6 Report: Xiaomi today officially announced Xiaomi miclaw, a small step in Xiaomi’s exploration of Agent. It is an AI interaction testing product built on the Xiaomi MiMo large model, and it has begun limited closed testing today. According to Xiaomi’s official introduction, Xiaomi miclaw enables smartphones to become AI tools. After understanding user intent and granting authorization, it can call applications and ecosystem capabilities, as well as autonomously select system-level tools to complete user commands. It can also grow continuously, adjust its behavior, expand its capabilities, and ultimately store experience through a memory system, becoming more intuitive with use. Since this is an exploratory, cutting-edge product, its stability, power consumption, and success rate in complex scenarios are still being optimized. Some high-complexity tasks may experience fluctuations in execution efficiency or temporary failures.
According to the announcement, this closed beta test is invitation-only and not open for public recruitment. Xiaomi does not recommend upgrading on primary daily devices. Enthusiasts and heavy AI users are advised to back up their data beforehand and test in controlled environments. Users who receive beta access will get a specific system version push and must upgrade to use Xiaomi miclaw. This beta test only supports the following models: Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17.
