Baidu Cloud Intelligence released “Red Finger Operator” on March 12, claiming it is the world’s first mobile OpenClaw application, allowing users to directly “raise shrimp” on their phones and experience the native mobile OpenClaw environment. This app combines Baidu’s self-developed AI Agent capabilities, supporting cross-app intelligent operations such as ride-hailing and food delivery. The Android version is now available, with the iOS version expected to launch within March.
The launch of “Red Finger Operator” marks the latest progress in Baidu’s systematic deployment of the OpenClaw ecosystem: on February 14, Baidu App officially supported one-click call of OpenClaw; subsequently, a simplified deployment process for OpenClaw was introduced, and Baidu’s AI Search, Encyclopedia, E-commerce, and Qianfan Deep Research Agent functions were listed as “Skills” on the open community ClawHub.
The day before the launch of “Red Finger Operator,” Baidu Cloud Intelligence also announced DuClaw—a zero-deployment OpenClaw service aimed at users with no prior experience. Subscribers can use the full OpenClaw features directly via the web without touching any cloud console, further lowering the technical barrier to “raising shrimp.”
While Baidu took the lead on mobile, Tencent also launched a systematic product matrix in the OpenClaw field:
QClaw: Targeted at individual users, currently in beta, supporting remote control of computers via WeChat chat, covering over 5,000 skills.
WorkBuddy: Designed for enterprise users.
Tencent Cloud Lighthouse: Provides cloud deployment services for developers and businesses.
ADP (AI Development Platform): An environment for developing intelligent agents.
Tencent Cloud Desktop: Cloud desktop service.
Tencent Chairman and CEO Ma Huateng shared a post on WeChat Moments on March 11 introducing Tencent’s OpenClaw product matrix, with the caption “Self-developed Lobster, Local Lobster, Cloud Lobster, Enterprise Lobster… coming one after another.” Both Baidu and Tencent held offline “Raising Shrimp Markets” events. Baidu’s first event at the Beijing Tech Park saw dozens of engineers providing free OpenClaw installation services to nearly a thousand users.
As OpenClaw gains popularity, security risks are also emerging. On March 11, Douyin warned that malicious actors are spreading false tutorials with hooks like “Free Shrimp Raising Lessons” and “If You Don’t Learn, You’ll Be Left Behind,” tricking users into adding external social accounts, risking consumer disputes, sensitive information leaks, and even malicious hijacking of hosts.
On the technical security front, the National Internet Emergency Center issued a warning on March 10, stating that OpenClaw currently faces four serious security risks: prompt injection, misoperation, plugin poisoning, and security vulnerabilities. These could lead to personal privacy leaks or threaten data paralysis in critical industries like finance and energy. It is recommended to strengthen network controls, enhance credential management, strictly manage plugin sources, and update versions promptly to ensure security.
“Red Finger Operator” is the world’s first mobile OpenClaw application, allowing users to directly use OpenClaw AI Agents on their phones without relying on computers, supporting cross-app intelligent operations such as ride-hailing and food delivery. Traditional OpenClaw usually requires deployment on computers or cloud servers; this app significantly lowers the usage barrier.
DuClaw is a zero-deployment OpenClaw service aimed at users with no technical background; after subscription, users can access it via the web without any configuration. “Red Finger Operator” is a native mobile app focusing on mobile device experience and cross-app operations. They target different scenarios and are complementary in positioning.
Mainly: avoid trusting unverified “free shrimp raising tutorials”; do not give third parties control permissions or account credentials for OpenClaw; technically, be cautious of prompt injection and plugin poisoning risks. It is recommended to install only through official channels, update promptly, and strictly manage plugin sources.
