Claude Code now supports cloud-based scheduled tasks, enabling automatic review of PRs and dependency upgrades.

Gate News Report, March 21 — According to 1M AI News monitoring, Anthropic’s AI programming tool Claude Code has added a cloud-based scheduled task feature. Users can specify the code repository, execution schedule, and prompts, and Claude will automatically execute the tasks via cloud infrastructure as scheduled, without needing to keep Claude Code running locally. Users can configure scheduled tasks through the web interface or create them within existing sessions using the /schedule command. Example tasks include: automatically reviewing all open PRs daily, tagging PRs that have been unattended for over two days, automatically upgrading patch dependencies and submitting PRs every Monday, rerunning failed CI tasks every night, and creating tickets for repeatedly failing test cases.
