The Pentagon has reached multiple agreements with defense contractors to significantly expand missile system production.

Gate News, March 25 — According to U.S. media reports, the Pentagon has reached agreements with major defense contractors on a series of framework agreements aimed at accelerating the production of key missile systems. These systems were heavily used during the early stages of the U.S. and Israel’s war with Iran. According to the Pentagon’s announcement, Lockheed Martin and BAE Systems have agreed with the Department of Defense to increase the production of THAAD interceptors’ guidance heads by four times. Previously, the Department of Defense had reached a framework agreement with Lockheed Martin to quadruple the production of THAAD interceptors. In another independent framework agreement, Honeywell Aerospace will invest $500 million over the next few years to significantly boost the production of critical components in U.S. ammunition stockpiles, including navigation systems and other products. Additionally, Lockheed Martin and the Pentagon will increase the production of the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM), an alternative to the Army Tactical Missile System (ATACMS).
