CoinWorld News: The full-chain stablecoin USDT0 has announced the launch of the payment-oriented Layer 1 blockchain Tempo. Tempo was jointly developed by Stripe and Paradigm, focusing on predictable settlement, stable fees, and enterprise-grade scalable infrastructure. This deployment marks USDT0’s 23rd supported chain, covering the Ethereum mainnet and major Layer 2 networks, as well as emerging chains like Monad and HyperLiquid, and Bitcoin extension networks such as Corn and Rootstock, along with USDT ecosystems like Stable and Plasma. USDT0 is issued based on the LayerZero Omnichain Fungible Token (OFT) standard, maintaining a 1:1 peg with USDT to ensure consistency across multiple chains and efficient liquidity transfer. Tether previously made a strategic investment in LayerZero Labs. Since its launch last year, USDT0 has achieved a total trading volume exceeding $70 billion within 12 months.
