Bitdeer clears out its Bitcoin reserves and pivots to AI, signing a deal with Norway’s DCI to build the country’s largest AI data center

On March 31, Bitcoin mining company Bitdeer (Nasdaq ticker: BTDR) announced that its subsidiary Tydal Data Center AS (TDC) has entered into an agreement with Norwegian contractor Data Center Installations AS (DCI) to retrofit existing facilities into Norway’s largest AI data center, primarily to support NVIDIA’s next-generation Vera Rubin AI technology. At the same time, Bitdeer has cleared its company bitcoin reserves and plans to raise $300 million by issuing convertible preferred notes to support its strategic shift into high-performance computing and AI infrastructure.
