Franklin Templeton Acquires 250 Digital, Deepening Its Institutional Crypto Investing Footprint

Gate News message, on April 1, asset manager Franklin Templeton announced the acquisition of 250 Digital to expand its cryptocurrency investment business. Earlier this year in January, 250 Digital was spun out from the venture capital firm CoinFund to operate independently, led by former CoinFund executives Christopher Perkins and Seth Ginns, and mainly provides cryptocurrency investment strategies for institutional investors. Franklin Templeton entered the cryptocurrency space as early as 2018, and has already built a digital asset team of more than 50 people. This acquisition is the latest step in the company’s ongoing effort to deepen its digital asset strategy.
