Gate News reports that on April 1, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved rule change applications for options on multiple crypto-asset commodity trusts listed on NYSE American. Previously, this trading platform only permitted options on commodity trusts backed by a single crypto asset; now it has expanded to support options on commodity trusts holding multiple crypto assets. Listing requirements include: each crypto asset held by the trust must individually meet high liquidity standards, with an average daily market value of at least $700 million over the past 12 months, and the derivative contracts for the crypto assets must be traded on a market that has a comprehensive surveillance-sharing agreement with the trading platform. Additionally, the trust shares must meet the initial and ongoing listing standards for ETF options and be classified as NMS stocks (National Market System stocks).
