Riot Platforms sold 3,778 BTC in Q1 to alleviate profit pressure

BlockBeats message, April 3, Bitcoin miner Riot Platforms sold 3,778 BTC in the first quarter of 2026, at an average price of $76,626, for total profit of $289.5 million. As of the end of the first quarter, it still held 15,680 BTC on its balance sheet.

Over the past week, companies such as MARA Holdings, Genius Group, and Nakamoto Holdings sold a combined 15,501 BTC, with most coming from MARA.
