According to Foresight News, Greg Osuri, the founder of Akash Network, tweeted that “Akash is an AppChain that currently runs on its own L1. It is built using the Cosmos SDK, but does not operate on Cosmos Hub. We will deprecate our own chain and migrate to other chains that can ensure the security of Akash. We will evaluate those blockchains that have security, high-quality communities, depth liquidity, and strong rise. These blockchains may be located within Cosmos or outside of Cosmos, but all are compatible with IBC. This means users will continue to use the same stack (Osmosis, Keplr, etc.). We are carefully considering various options, and this process will be very transparent, allowing Akash users to have a say. I think it would be great to publicly discuss the pros and cons. In the coming weeks, we will release an RFP and invite the foundation to participate.”
