By actively participating in contests, marathons, and publications on the Gate platform, I have gathered some insights I want to share with the community. This is not criticism but friendly advice from a user who values the exchange and wants the experience to become even more enjoyable and transparent. From my side, as a user, I see what you might not see — from your side, what you might not see.
1️⃣ Insight about the feeling of reward. For me, as well as for many other participants, the moment of receiving a reward is very important. I want to feel joy and satisfaction that my effort was noticed. When the reward comes in the form of a position voucher, where the trading pair is chosen by the exchange and additional funds need to be involved, this feeling can disappear. The reward stops being perceived as a gift and more resembles an additional process with risks.
2️⃣ Insight about emotions and expectations. One of my personal insights is that the reward should bring positive emotions immediately. When you have to think about whether to use the position voucher, whether you're ready for the risk, or whether it will expire over time, joy turns into doubt. As a result, some of these rewards remain unused, even though they were based on real activity and time invested.
3️⃣ Insight about freedom of choice. In my opinion, it would be great to give participants the option to choose the format of the reward. For some, it could be cash, for others — a material gift, and for others — a position voucher, but with more flexible conditions. When the choice is left to the user, the reward automatically becomes more valuable and desirable. You choose — that inspires you.
4️⃣ Insight about transparency and clarity. Another important detail I want to highlight is transparency in accruals. It would be very convenient if, along with the reward, it was clearly indicated for which contest, quiz, or marathon it was received and on what date. This will help avoid confusion and situations where you have to guess: “What exactly was this reward for?”.
5️⃣ Insight about the overall user experience. When the reward system is understandable, logical, and friendly, the user does not waste energy on doubts and questions. On the contrary — there is a desire to share insights, advice, and personal experience even more actively because it feels like your contribution is truly appreciated.
My insights and advice are sincere wishes to make Gate Square an even more comfortable space for the community. I want the reward to be not only formal but also emotionally pleasant, understandable, and tangible. I believe that even small improvements in this direction will make participants a little happier and even more engaged in the platform’s life.
