Yesterday, a friend suddenly called me, his voice very hurried. He mentioned the news about the founder of the privacy Wallet being arrested and repeatedly asked me one question: "Does this mean that our wallets as ordinary users are also unsafe? Will the coin I have in my hands be frozen?"

Listening to his concerns, I opened my Wallet APP, looking at those clear and traceable transaction records and asset sources, and suddenly understood what true peace of mind means.

**A Watershed in Privacy and Compliance**

This incident is not isolated. It reflects the profound changes that the entire crypto world is undergoing—the era of rampant growth and numerous gray areas has officially become a thing of the past.

Why are privacy tools being targeted? To put it bluntly, some people use them for illegal activities. This brings an old question to the forefront: should developers be responsible for the misuse of their tools? For ordinary users, a more pressing question is—are your Wallet, your transactions, at risk of being innocently affected?

**The real risk is right in front of us**

Have your coins gone through a mixer? Has your address ever been associated with sanctioned accounts? These seemingly distant issues are actually not far from anyone in the face of strict global regulations. Assets being frozen, being blacklisted—these are no longer mere alarmist claims.

**The only way to survive**

Rather than hiding, it's better to embrace transparency. Use compliant stablecoins like USDD and choose regular platform wallets with auditing capabilities, allowing each of your transactions to withstand scrutiny. This is not a compromise, but a rational choice in the new era.

Those who are still fantasizing about hiding in the shadows may not realize that under the illumination of regulation, transparency has become the best protection.

Wow, hiding in the dark is actually more dangerous? I need to think about this logic. --- The collapse of privacy Wallets is really scary, but I think Compliance is the way to survive. --- Transparent transactions should have been done like this earlier to avoid trouble later. --- I understand my fren's concerns, but right now I really don't dare to touch those mixers anymore. --- The path of Compliance stablecoins sounds uninteresting, but it's better to be alive than to lose. --- Mixers really should be finished; using privacy as a guise to do bad things will ultimately backfire. --- What are we compromising on? This is called adapting to new rules, right? --- All my coins have gone through mixers, and now I'm a bit nervous, this isn't good. --- Rather than waiting to be checked, it's better to be proactively transparent; that's wisdom. --- The era of hiding is really over; we have to admit this.

What you said is quite heart-wrenching, the trap of mixing coins should have been doomed long ago, really.

The founder of a privacy Wallet being arrested is really something to be cautious about; it feels like the entire ecosystem is being reshuffled. Is it true? Does anyone still dare to touch mixers? They should have been doomed long ago. That being said, transparent transactions do feel more reassuring, but it seems like these days Web3 is becoming more like TradFi. Freezing blacklists might sound distant, but who knows where your coins are coming from? It’s a bit scary. This wave of Compliance is probably going to eliminate a batch of people; I have high hopes for those projects that play by the rules. But to be honest, the era of wanting complete privacy and complete freedom is really over.
