The rise of RWA tokenization is reshaping the competitive landscape of on-chain financial ecosystems. When real-world assets are tokenized through blockchain, the competitive environment faced by prediction markets will undergo significant changes. Both are vying for user funds and liquidity, but RWA offers the promise of real asset returns, which poses considerable pressure on prediction markets that rely on speculative enthusiasm. As the scale of RWA projects expands, it may divert some of the capital that would have originally flowed into prediction markets.

After rwa became popular, the prediction market is really a bit awkward... Can speculative enthusiasm match real returns?

Real returns vs. speculative enthusiasm, to put it simply, it's about who can play people for suckers the fastest. RWA over there has elongated the cycle to seem sophisticated, while the prediction market feeds on short-term sentiment; in the end, the funds still flow towards the projects that can cash out quickly... for reference only, ha.

technically speaking, rwa's just moving money around—not exactly a cryptographic breakthrough here. prediction markets were always gonna get squeezed once real yield showed up, tbh.
