#大户持仓动态 Quantum Computing is approaching Bitcoin's "Achilles' heel"—this technological race has already begun!

Casa co-founder Jameson Lopp recently issued a warning: the entire crypto community has been intensely discussing the threat of Quantum Computing for a full 18 months. The reality is that quantum computers cannot currently break Bitcoin, but this time window may only remain for 5 to 10 years. By then, the Bitcoin system must undergo a complete overhaul, or the entire underlying crypto mechanism will be exposed to quantum attacks.

In simple terms, Bitcoin is undergoing a silent "technological race." With the rapid advances in Quantum Computing, Bitcoin upgrades are lagging behind, which poses risks to the encryption system. Lopp himself said: "I actually hope quantum computing slows down a bit, so the Bitcoin community has a chance to transition to the post-quantum era."

This is no longer just an engineer's issue, but a race against time for the entire trust system.

On one side, the speed of breakthroughs in computational science is accelerating, while on the other side, there are security risks associated with global trillions of encrypted assets. Will the upgrade path proceed smoothly? Is the community's cohesion sufficient? Is it realistic to reform at the protocol level? These questions are all waiting for answers amidst the anxiety of the countdown.

What do you think? Should Bitcoin immediately launch its anti-Quantum Computing defense upgrade, or should we wait to see how the technology develops?

5 to 10 years? Sounds ridiculous, feels like Bitcoin is scaring itself again.

Wait, why the rush in 5 to 10 years? Let me first see how Google and their Quantum Computing progress is doing, instead of just talking about it.

Quantum Computing, this matter, has been talked about for so long yet it's still just theoretical... 5 to 10 years is a long enough time, it won't be too late to panic when it really arrives.

Ah, this is really tense for 5 to 10 years. Whether the Bitcoin community can work together to upgrade is a question.

Wait, 5 to 10 years? This timeline sounds as reliable as BTC rising to 100,000 forever.
