The self-limiting mindset is the real obstacle to trading success. Telling yourself "you're not good enough right now" isn't self-awareness—it's an excuse. That's exactly the logic that keeps people stuck. The path forward isn't waiting to be perfect; it's learning through iteration. Every failed trade, every missed opportunity teaches something. The traders who compound their edge consistently aren't the ones who had it all figured out from day one. They're the ones who kept showing up, testing, adjusting, and improving. Mindset separates those who break through from those who stay on the sidelines.

This statement is valid, but I think most people simply can't take it in. They are all waiting for the perfect moment, but in the end, that moment never comes.

That's absolutely right. Instead of making excuses for yourself every day, why not just enter a position and give it a try? If you lose, you lose, but at least you'll learn something.

You're right, I particularly hate those who always make excuses for themselves; perfectionism is just another name for procrastination.
