I encountered a Solana scam incident and lost 1.2 SOL. Here’s what happened: I participated in an operation according to the group owner's guidance, and as a result, I got trapped. What’s even more outrageous is that the scammer's Telegram username is almost identical to the group owner's username—only a slight character difference. This "Li Gui impersonating Li Kui" tactic is really subtle, and it seems that I was the only one in the entire group who fell for it.
This reveals a common trap in the Web3 community: scammers impersonate official personnel or well-known users by registering usernames that are very similar, using visual confusion and a sense of trust to carry out their scams. This type of "impersonation account" scam is especially rampant on Telegram and Discord.
A reminder for everyone: Before participating in any operations, be sure to verify your identity through official channels; check the URL and account details before clicking on links; think twice about any "official guidance" that appears in the group, as most of the time, the real officials will not directly guide financial operations in the group. Staying alert is the best protection.

Data shows that the conversion rate of these counterfeit accounts is unreasonably high, although the lesson learned at the cost of 1.2 SOL... wait a minute, I've noticed a pattern—whenever there is no official blue tick confirmation mechanism in the group, it's only a matter of time before it all collapses.

Oh no, this move is really clever; I've also fallen into similar traps.
That's why I no longer trust any group messages; I verify all official matters on the official website.

Another name trap, it's really hard to guard against.
