I have a question I must ask you: In the crypto market, are you also like this — getting nervous and running away after making a little profit, but stubbornly holding on after losing a lot of money, and in the end watching your account turn into a string of zeros, saying "there's something fishy in the market" before leaving in despair?

Having been in this circle for 8 years, I have witnessed too many people go from "celebrating small profits" to "clearing out their funds." Today, I will take the plunge and share a heart-wrenching truth with you: traders who make money are actually always losing money — they just can afford to lose. The real differentiator has never been who has a more accurate judgment of the market, but rather who can nail down the risks firmly from the very beginning.

Let me first mention a phenomenon that is both amusing and infuriating. Many newcomers treat trading like gambling, spending every day in various communities asking "Will this coin go up?", as if just guessing right once will lead to soaring success. I remember one follower in particular who, by luck, caught a wave of market movement and made a 30% profit, immediately putting all his savings into it. As a result, when a correction hit, he not only lost all his profits but also directly lost 60% of his principal. When he came to me, his eyes were red, and I felt for him.

Here’s a strong medicine for you – this is the most hardcore logic of trading: the core is not about "how much you earn", but about "how much you can keep". Trading without risk management is like running barefoot on broken glass. No matter how fast you run, it’s useless; stepping on a sharp shard just once can wipe out all your earnings from the past year or even several years.

So I have always emphasized the same thing to the people around me who are trading: you must first survive, and then consider making money. This does not rely on luck, but on a real risk management system.

It's so heart-wrenching to say, my fren was sanctioned like this, trembling when making 30% profits, but toughing it out to Get Liquidated after losing 60% before crying.

That said, if the risk factor isn't controlled, even the most accurate technical analysis won't save you. --- Small profits are to be taken, big losses are to be endured... I've backtested this logic, and the probability of dying is faster than anything. --- I've heard too many stories about that guy going 30% all in, it's always the same script, really. --- On-chain data shows that 90% of retail investors are repeating this mistake, but we are still doing it... At least I know what I'm gambling on now. --- The eye of the storm is always the safest, provided you live long enough to see that moment. --- "How much to hold" is more important than "how much to earn," I completely agree, but unfortunately most people can't do it. --- Have you calculated the liquidation price for leverage? I got harvested again yesterday, it was very much in line with expectations. --- Trading without a stop loss is playing with fire, the problem is we all know it and still play.

Here we go again with this trap of Risk Management rhetoric... It's true, but I still can't control myself, haha. It's really frustrating not being able to make money, and I have to learn to endure not losing. So the core is to survive; only by surviving can there be hope, right? This example hits home, 30% turned into -60%, I've done that foolish thing too. Talking about the Risk Management system is easy, but when it comes to the market, I forget everything. Survive first, then make money. I want to stick this saying on my trading software.
