The market will wear down your patience; this is normal. Many people fall into the vicious cycle of opening positions frequently every day, treating trading like an amusement park—wanting to try every signal. Little do they know, real rollover opportunities may only occur once or twice a year.

After so many years of living, the deepest realization is just one word: wait. Wait for the market to form a structure that meets your rules, and wait until the conditions are fully matched before entering gracefully. This requires more courage than frequent trading. I used to be someone who opened positions frequently, but later I realized—quality always trumps quantity. A mediocre trade with five transactions is not as good as patiently waiting for an excellent opportunity.

**Signals are maps, not stories**

I never predict, I only follow technical signals. The breakout of key moving averages with volume, and the convergence at the weekly level, these are all signals released by the market. The problem is that the indicators themselves have a lagging nature. When you see a golden cross, the coin price has often already moved a distance, and at that time, jumping in most likely makes you a bag holder.

So I trained myself to be a reflex-type trader—act when signals appear, without emotions, and without getting entangled. Don't add your own drama; the market's story is more complex than you can imagine.

**How to add when the wind is favorable?**

The timing of increasing positions is crucial. It's not about adding when bullish, but rather taking action only when the market confirms the trend and pulls back to support.

You're absolutely right, I believe there are opportunities once or twice a year. But how did you train yourself to be a reflexive trader? I still get an itch to trade whenever I see a signal, I just can't hold back.

You're right, last year I lost a lot because I frequently opened positions, now I've really learned to wait. I believe in two opportunities a year; it's definitely more profitable than messing around every day. The phrase "signals are maps, not stories" is brilliant; how many people see a golden cross pattern and just enter a position directly? I now trade on reflex; what I feel most deeply is still controlling my hands. The courage to wait is indeed harder than taking action.

Once a year, there are one or two excellent opportunities. This sounds exhausting... You really have to be determined not to act.
