What will the crypto assets market look like in 2026? Barclays Bank has given a somewhat pessimistic forecast - if there are no significant favourable information triggers, next year will fall into a "downward cycle". The revenue of retail investor platforms may come under pressure, and the growth rate of spot trading volume is also declining.

However, the situation in 2025 is different. The launch of the Spot ETF and Bitcoin breaking $100,000 have led analysts to generally be bullish for that year. The key lies in the influx of funds. As you can see, digital assets currently only account for just over 1% of global asset management scale. Once large institutions start to position themselves, how much can this market rise? The potential for growth is quite substantial.

But that being said, the macro environment, central bank policy direction, traditional stock market fluctuations... these are all variables. It's really hard to say where the crypto market is headed.

Pessimistic about 2026? Let's first eat the meat of 2025 before we talk, haha The entry of institutions has just begun, a 1% share is really ridiculous. If this wave doesn't pump up, I'll live-stream eating the screen. Macroeconomic policies, to put it bluntly, are just a gamble on luck. I bet my USDT has a chance. To be honest, going all in right now feels a bit cowardly. I'll wait for the ETF to really have higher trade volumes before entering a position more steadily. Barclays says downtrend? I didn't believe a single word of their predictions last year. Let's talk about 2026 when we get to 2026; let's first secure 100,000 dollars before discussing the next steps. Institutional layouts are something you can see but not touch; it's better to look at on-chain data, that's more practical. No matter how pessimistic, it won't drop to zero; at most it will return to five figures. What is there to be afraid of?

1% This data sounds nice, but how much actual arbitrage space is there? If institutions really come, will the gas fees directly to da moon? I'm more concerned about this.

Barclays said a downturn cycle in 2026? Alright, we are used to the big ups and downs in the crypto world anyway, so it's time to stock up. Only 1% of institutions have entered a position? That number sounds ridiculous, by the time big funds really come in, we would have already gotten on board. ETF + 100,000 USD, 2025 does have some potential, but I just don’t know how long it can last. When the macro environment changes, it's all for nothing, which is why I can never hold on, haha. It's better to be uncertain, if someone could really predict, they would have been financially free long ago.
