Recently, I want to talk about something more personal and inner, just writing casually.

I don't know if any of you have the habit of regularly reviewing your work. To put it plainly, it's about periodically looking back at what you've done recently and comparing it to the goals you initially set. I often do this myself.

But I slowly realized that most people actually lack clear goals. They are busy and tired every day, but the things they are busy with are often not the most critical. This is quite awkward.

Not long ago, I saw a poll that gave four options to choose from. One of the options was "inner peace," and I chose it directly.

Why?

I increasingly agree with a view - in the end, what really matters is whether one's inner self is strong enough. Can one gradually realize something through their own practice and experiences? Money and reputation, I do not deny their value, but essentially they are trophies, external possessions. Are they important? Yes, but not that important.

Next, I want to talk about the moments in the friend circle.

I usually have a few reliable friends around me, who have similar development directions, comparable levels, and similar goals. We chat from time to time, encouraging and motivating each other. This concept of being at the "same level" is actually very crucial.

You want to develop in the same direction as a certain big shot, but the problem is—what can you contribute to them? That's awkward. It has to be the kind of friends who are on the same wavelength, with shared ideals, who can connect well and have similar tastes; only such relationships can go far.

I also don't really like to please anyone, it's too inefficient. Others may not appreciate it, and in the end, it might make you feel worse. Instead of putting in effort to flatter, it's better to invest energy in improving yourself. Set a clear plan, give yourself a deadline, and see if you can actually achieve it. This is more practical than anything else.
