Recently, I have seen many people following a DID project that focuses on biometric recognition. Its native Token is deployed on Arbitrum, based on the zkEVM Layer 2 chain of Polygon CDK, aiming to use palm print recognition + zk-SNARKs for identity verification. The idea sounds good - combining biometric features and ZKP to resist Sybil Attack, theoretically able to prove that users are real individuals while protecting privacy.

But upon closer inspection, the problem is still very clear. The collection, storage, and verification of biometric data can easily go wrong at each stage. Privacy protection sounds good, but if the technology implementation is inadequate, it could instead become a breeding ground for data leaks. Moreover, the DID space has seen a surge of projects in recent years, but the application and ecosystem development have not kept pace. With just technical concepts and no real usage scenarios, where is the value support for the Token? It is advisable to observe cautiously and not rush to get on board.

Biometric authentication sounds impressive, but who guarantees security once it’s on the chain? The DID pit has been quite tricky lately, with concepts and ecosystems everywhere, but I haven't seen many that are truly user-friendly. Palm print recognition combined with ZKP sounds high-end, but if any link goes wrong, the data could still be exposed. I don’t want to be a guinea pig. Let’s wait and see. There are so many projects out there, only those with real use cases are worth discussing. Where is the support for the token? Besides issuing tokens, it’s just issuing tokens. The biggest risk with these projects is high hype early on, but no one uses them later. Better avoid the pitfalls quickly.

Biometric + ZKP sounds great, but the implementation details are a nightmare. Another DID project trying to hype concepts—what's truly usable? Honestly, the market is saturated; being cautious is not wrong.

I'm tired of that set of scripts about biometric recognition; it's always about privacy, privacy. And the result? Data will still leak, right? What is there to be afraid of?

Biometric recognition, to put it bluntly, is just empty talk; the risk of data leakage is right there.

Palm print recognition sounds bull, but once the data leaks, it's all over. With DID and ZK, the concepts are piled up high, but where's the implementation? Where is the biometric data stored? To put it bluntly, it's still a trust issue. The DID space has been saturated for a long time, lacking any novelty. Let's wait and see, don't be fooled by the concepts.

Palm print recognition sounds advanced, but if the storage fails, it's all over. I can't trust that trap about data privacy.
