David Schassler, head of multi-asset solutions at VanEck, predicts that with increasing investor demand for hard assets, gold and Bitcoin will strongly rebound in 2026. Although Bitcoin's performance this year has not matched that of gold and the Nasdaq 100 index, Schassler believes that as currency depreciation intensifies and liquidity rebounds, Bitcoin is poised for a strong rebound. Schassler expects that Bitcoin's weakness this year reflects a decline in risk appetite and tight liquidity, but the fundamentals of Bitcoin remain strong, and it is expected to be the "best performing asset" in 2026.
