Here's a real-world example: Suppose Bitcoin rises to $200,000 in 10 years, which looks like a doubling on the surface. But here's the problem—if inflation eats up this appreciation, your actual purchasing power might be less than the current $100,000. In other words, you see the account balance growing, but your wallet is getting thinner. This is the trap of valuing in USD. The crypto world has been too long tethered to the dollar. What we should really do is think in terms of satoshi (聪) as a measure of value, rather than fixating on the USD price. Only then can we see the true growth of wealth, without being fooled by inflation illusions. After all, numbers look good, but purchasing power is king.

That's right, the US dollar itself is depreciating, and focusing on dollar prices is indeed a trap.

Hmm, there's a flaw in this logic—inflation eats into appreciation, but if it's denominated in Satoshi, it doesn't? According to on-chain data, Satoshi is essentially a subunit of Bitcoin, and inflationary pressure can't be avoided; it's just a shift in perception.

Hey, you're right, you're right. I was also confused by the dollar price before. Even though the account doubled, the purchasing power remained the same. I've truly awakened.

Why do I feel this logic is a bit convoluted? Isn't $200,000 attractive enough, or should we look at it from a different perspective?

That's right, we really need to wake up and not be blinded by those numbers.
