Argentina is one of the most active cryptocurrency markets in Latin America.

According to industry reports, the exchange notified users that the exchange between the peso and USDC will end on January 31, 2026. After that, it will no longer be possible to buy or sell the stablecoin with local currency, nor will it be possible to withdraw to an Argentine bank account.

A platform spokesperson stated that this move represents a strategic pause to reassess and strengthen product offerings, with the hope of achieving a more sustainable return in the future.

Operations between cryptocurrencies will remain available, and user resources will not be affected. Customers will have a 30-day window to complete transactions involving the Argentine peso before the service is closed.

The platform received registration as a virtual asset service provider from the Argentine National Securities Commission on January 28, 2025, reinforcing its status as a compliant company. According to the company’s estimates, approximately 5 million people in Argentina use cryptocurrencies daily.
