Recently, Ethereum developers implemented the second blob upgrade in a short period, increasing the blob limit from 15 to 21. This helps Layer 2s bundle more transactions, thereby reducing fees and increasing speed. This also helps the mainnet become less congested, resulting in more stable gas fees.

Ethereum is also considering increasing the gas limit from 60 million to 80 million, allowing each block to process more transactions and smart contracts.

In 2026, the Glamsterdam upgrade will continue to focus on scalability, with the goal of raising the gas limit very high and enabling parallel transaction processing, transforming Ethereum from a “single lane” to a “multi-lane highway.”#GateAIOfficiallyLaunches
