Web3 applications on the market are diverse and of varying quality. The problem is that those integrated with WalletConnect are especially prone to becoming sources of risk—who will safeguard ordinary users? This ecosystem needs someone to step up, like a modern guardian, to keep unreliable stuff out. Otherwise, users' wallet security will have to rely on luck.

To be honest, WalletConnect is really a double-edged sword. It's useful, but also risky. Ecosystem guardian? Ha, who is that, the wallet company or the exchange? Instead of waiting for someone to oversee, it's better to be more cautious yourself. That's why I still prefer self-managed wallets. Even if it's more trouble, it's better than getting scammed. It would be great if there were a reliable auditing mechanism. Right now, we only see news of rug pulls after they happen.

**Comment 1:** WalletConnect integration? Just check on-chain data, no need to rely on guardians. For those projects in the 0x address pool, fund flows are clear at a glance—99% of them go to exchange wallets. **Comment 2:** Nice words, but it's just to help the retail investors save themselves. I spotted the contract vulnerability in a top app last time—over 95% fund concentration. What are they waiting for, a run? **Comment 3:** It's a bit funny, the barrier to entry is so low that anyone can get on-chain. I suggest everyone just look at the flow of large addresses; data speaks, it’s not some gatekeeper. **Comment 4:** It's an ecosystem issue. WalletConnect itself isn't the problem; it's those lousy project teams. I've tracked suspicious addresses for three months—transfer patterns are all the same—obvious signs of a pump-and-dump scheme, no audits at all. **Comment 5:** Here we go again? Relying on guardians is less useful than learning to assess contract risks yourself. The other day I found a hidden issue in a withdrawal function of an app, and I’m still analyzing its smart contract records.

Wallet security still depends on keeping your own eyes open; you can't just rely on guardians.

Honestly, WalletConnect is just a sieve; all kinds of trash can leak in. --- These days, who dares to click on those wild applications? Your coins in the wallet will be gone. --- Guardian? Bro, your idea is too naive. No one really manages the ecosystem. --- Gatekeeping? How to do that? With so many applications still growing daily, it's impossible to block them all. --- In the end, it's still about being more cautious yourself. Don't rely on the ecosystem to save you. --- WalletConnect has really become a phishing paradise, which is just too outrageous. --- The problem isn't with the applications; sometimes users just aren't thinking enough. --- Relying on luck? More like gambling with your life, that's how Web3 is.

After playing Web3 for so long, the same old saying remains—I'm not afraid of projects running away, but I fear wallets being scammed. --- That's right, now it's indeed a mixed bag, but the problem isn't just WalletConnect; the entire ecosystem is a minefield. --- Guardian? Ha, if that term is used well, I'm just afraid that in the end, we still have to rely on ourselves to be more cautious. --- Instead of waiting for others to vet, it's better to develop the habit of checking contracts first—that's true self-rescue. --- I just want to ask, why can these sources of risk still be openly listed? What's the review mechanism? --- So many Ponzi schemes disguised as funds; someone should have started cleaning up long ago. It's been dragging on for too long. --- It sounds very hopeless, but I want to know which apps are relatively safe right now. Please provide a list.

Here comes that "Guardian" talk again, sounds pretty romantic, but in reality? I’m most annoyed by power concentration. --- Everyone knows WalletConnect has risks, but the real problem is that ordinary users simply can't tell the code apart. --- Gatekeeping? For decentralized stuff, who do you expect to do the gatekeeping? That's funny. --- Sounds good, but in the end, users still need to use their brains. --- This kind of thing can't be completely prevented; we can only rely on the police. --- I agree that the ecosystem needs people to oversee it, but who currently has the ability and motivation to do so? --- Relying on luck isn't enough; doing proper research can help avoid most risks. --- Web3 is like this; if you want absolute security, you'd better go back to Web2.
