Under the downward pressure of the market, a whale address's long position strategy is being tested. This player deposited 8 million USDC into the on-chain lending platform Hyperliquid on January 1st, and then took long positions on 11 tokens including IP, XPL, STBL, MON, PUMP, GRIFFAIN, VVV, AIXBT, HEMI, MAVIA, and STABLE. The account once had an unrealized profit of over $3.3 million, showcasing a glorious performance.

However, data from January 8th shows a reversal. The unrealized profit has shrunk to $1.75 million, with a clear retracement. But this whale did not stop loss; instead, it continued to add to its positions—adding long positions in BTC, STBL, FARTCOIN, HYPE, TRUMP, and LIT.

The current positions are showing a stark contrast. The BTC position is the most profitable, with an unrealized gain of $360,000. But the HMSTR position is not so lucky, currently with an unrealized loss of $23,000, becoming the most troublesome asset in the account. From an initial retail bottom-fishing mentality to now holding steady, it seems this whale's confidence remains intact.
HYPE-4,15%
IP-0,64%
XPL-4,72%

Unrealized gains were cut from 3.3 million directly down to 1.75 million. How strong must one's mental resilience be... to still dare to add more? I think this isn't confidence, but a gambler's mentality.

Unrealized profit drops from 3.3 million to 1.75 million. This is what market education looks like. Add more? I think this guy is treating "bottom logic" as a religious belief. Making 360,000 in BTC profit and still holding on to HMSTR's losses—this isn't confidence, it's gambler's self-hypnosis.

Unrealized profit shrank from 3.3 million to 1.75 million, and still no stop-loss? This guy is really ruthless, still daring to add more. His mindset is much tougher than I imagined.

Still doubling down after a 50% unrealized profit cut? This guy really has confidence... or maybe he's a bit inflated?

Still doubling down after a 50% unrealized gain? Is this guy truly committed or just gambling mentality? I really can't understand.

Half of the unrealized gains cut and still adding more? This big brother must either have strong faith or be a gambler... That 23,000 loss in HMSTR really hurts.

Still doubling down after a 50% unrealized profit cut? This guy really isn't giving up, either he's extremely confident or he's out of his mind... HMSTR's pit has already lost 23,000, and he's still holding on. I wouldn't have the guts for that.
