Walrus Mainnet officially launched yesterday, and the first-day data performance was quite impressive, with community participation exceeding expectations.

**Key Data Overview**

Total staking has surpassed 50 million $WAL, with on-chain TVL reaching $120 million. The number of addresses participating in staking exceeds 100,000, with over 500,000 transactions, the network has stored 5TB of data, and the total number of nodes exceeds 1,000. These figures reflect that the ecosystem has been recognized by the market since the moment of launch.

**How are the staking yields?**

The basic annualized yield is 12%, and early investors can earn an additional 4.67% reward (within the first 30 days), so the maximum annualized yield can theoretically reach 16.67%. Staking is very simple—transfer $WAL into the official staking contract, choose your desired lock-up period (30 days, 90 days, or 180 days), and rewards are distributed daily. You can withdraw at any time without many restrictions.

**Why is the participation so enthusiastic?**

Firstly, an annualized yield of 16.67% is indeed attractive, far surpassing traditional financial products. Secondly, participating at the mainnet launch means you are enjoying early dividends. Another factor is that if $WAL appreciates during the staking period, you can earn dual rewards. Lastly, staking also grants governance rights, allowing you to participate in important protocol decisions.

**How is the market response?**

The price of $WAL increased from $0.56 to $0.60 on the first day of listing, a rise of 7.1%. The $120 million TVL indicates a high level of market consensus on this project. As the Walrus ecosystem continues to evolve, staking yields may further optimize in the future.

16.67% annualized? This return rate is quite interesting, a typical early incentive decay curve, dropping back to 12% after 30 days... From a game theory perspective, this creates a sense of urgency to get in early.

Wow, 50 million in staking on the first day? This hype is really a bit outrageous. Does 16.67% annualized sound a bit too high?

Wow, reaching 120 million TVL on the first day, this rocket booster is really aggressive. 16.67% annualized? Double returns? Something's off, gotta see if it will burn out later. Early participants really bottomed out this wave, just worried about the upcoming consensus collapse. This is what the mainnet should look like on its first day, the window for loading supplies should still be open. Over a thousand nodes are running, the network stability seems to be no joke. However, with TVL rising so quickly, I'm still a bit worried about the retention rate later on. Hope it doesn't turn into a game of musical chairs.

16.67% annualized? Sounds pretty good, but I wonder how long I can stick with it... I missed out on the early dividends, and now if I get in, will I become the bag holder?
