CEO Josh Swihart announced that he and the entire Zcash development team have resigned.
The reason is that working conditions have changed in a way that contradicts the project's mission. The development team is setting up a new company to continue developing Zcash independently.
Although Swihart assured that the Zcash protocol would not be affected, this drama caused the ZEC price to plummet nearly 20%.
