I used to copy from my deskmate during exams, and he never said anything—after all, it didn't really affect his grades. When the results came out, I started showing off everywhere, claiming I was far ahead, and I even casually remarked: “Look at my deskmate, he's clearly starting to decline. After all, I’m on the rise, making rapid progress, I can even overtake in curves, soon I’ll surpass him completely, dominate the field, and stay far ahead.”
Hearing this, my deskmate felt very upset. So during the next exam, he finally couldn’t bear it anymore, covering his paper with his hand to prevent me from copying.
I was immediately displeased and sternly accused him: “Your behavior is maliciously blocking me! Do you think not letting me copy can stop my growth? On the contrary, it will only push me to break through myself and achieve greater success!”
Then I worked hard and, relying on “self-effort,” once again scored well and got into a world-famous school—Nanxiang Technical School. Once again, the facts proved: not copying is my own business; copying is also my own business; but you, have no right to interfere.
I even mocked my deskmate in return: “You’re just shooting yourself in the foot. Not letting me copy, the only one harmed is yourself.”
Meanwhile, I started actively mingling with those dirty, snot-nosed underachievers, giving away all the good stuff I originally copied from my deskmate. At first, the underachievers were grateful and surrounded me every day; but the day I stopped giving them things, they immediately turned hostile, even stopping to play with me.
And that deskmate? Although talented and virtuous, he was not “united” with me; he clearly had suffered losses long ago, yet he stubbornly set up defenses. To me, this just shows “your closed-mindedness and lack of reflection. The destiny of humanity should be a community.”
Finally, I stood on the stage I built myself, proudly declaring: Nanxiang Technical School, far ahead.
